COAOntario COAOntario is the Governing Association to represent Condo Owners across the Province. It is at the helm of all Chapters and Associated Districts within the Province. COAOntario sets the mission statement, by-laws, policy, registration guidelines and applications, course and information structures, mandates, financial and professional standards for all associated operations of the Condo Owners Association Chapters and Districts. The Chapters represent the Cities across the Province. Each Chapter then has individual Districts to represent their local Municipality Wards. This structure allows for a direct interaction with each District and their residing Counsellors, MPP's and MP's.
COAOntario main headquarters is located in the Toronto Chapter, Local District Trinity Spadina. It is the original birthplace of the Condo Owners Association and the beginning of tradition and support. Today's fast growing condominium communities are at the peak of every City's municipal planning throughout the Province. They are no doubt on the forefront of all Condo Developers, Builders and Construction Companies. There is strength in numbers and time is of the essence. COA will get results from what it inspects like the Act and Tarion where changes are required for the protection of all condominium owners.
Ontario is in the middle of Canada on the map. It is also the hub of the Canadian economy. It is a magnet for manufacturing, finance, tourism and other industries. It’s also a leader in science and the arts. Our population of 12 million includes people from 200 countries who speak as many as 130 languages. Our cities are vibrant and our scenery spectacular. The cost and shortage of land has created a slowdown on single family home construction but high-rise condo buildings are popping up everywhere. Ontario is also the most multicultural province in Canada, where half of all new immigrants make their home. It is a land of opportunity and a prosperous, democratic society built by the hard work of generations of immigrants. Today's condominium market has a selection of owner occupied residences, short-term, corporate housing and relocation, and investment properties. Condos continue to be the wave of the future because they create huge benefits for Municipalities with increased population resulitng in more tax dollars and stronger economic growth.
Mission Statement The COA mission statement identifies the needs. “To provide a cohesive united voice to represent condominium owners across the Province and to be a leader in representing and serving the interests of Condo Owners within 3 levels of Government by supporting the development of its members, fostering a prosperous and sustainable economic environment and contributing to the quality of life in our community”. The need for a Condo Owners Association to represent Condo Owners will gain continued strength because of increased population of condo ownership and the need forthe defined presence and representation.
